How prices are calculated
- Every price comes through the SkinsTrading price feed, which tracks 20 marketplaces for CS2: BitSkins, BUFF Market, Buff163, CSFloat, CSMoney, DMarket, GamerPay, Lis Skins, Mannco.store, Market CSGO, SkinBaron, SkinBid, Skinport, Tradeit Store, Waxpeer, Steam, CS.Trade, LootFarm, Swap.gg, Tradeit. Every one of them is read again each hour.
- A price only ranks when something backs it: copies in stock on that marketplace, a sale of the skin in the last 90 days, or a second marketplace within 3x of it. A lone asking price with nothing behind it, the $100,000 souvenir pistol nobody has ever bought, is a claim and not a price, and it does not appear here.
- The headline figure is the lowest cash price across every cash marketplace that lists the skin, and the buy button goes there. When no cash marketplace lists it, the Steam Community Market price is used instead, and when Steam does not list it either, the lowest trade value is used and the row says so. The rank follows that figure and nothing else.
- Trade sites such as Tradeit, Swap.gg, LootFarm, SkinsMonkey, PirateSwap and CS.Trade pay in site credit with a bonus of 30% to 50% on top, so their number is printed as a trade value with its bonus beside it. It sets a rank only when neither a cash marketplace nor Steam lists the skin. Steam is printed as the Steam Community Market price, which is paid in Steam wallet funds.
- The range and the market count cover every source with a price, and every skin the feed prices is eligible: nothing is dropped for low stock or low sales. "Listed" is the stock across those sources right now, and "Market average" is the SkinsTrading average and median across them, with each trade bonus removed.
- The list is refreshed every hour, and 39880 CS2 skins had a price before the top 50 were taken.
